On the first day of fall, I find the weather isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet. It might be getting crisp at night, but the afternoon still hold time for cold treats. It might even be sweater n’ hat weather in the morning….
But the days are warm in the afternoon so it’s still treat time!
Creamy Chocolate Popsicles
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole milk
- ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup & 1 Tbsp dark chocolate sauce*
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Directions:
Add ingredients in a blender, process on medium speed until fully mixed. Pour into popsicle molds (we use a similar one to this: Norpro Ice Pop Maker), put into freezer. Freeze for an hour, then insert sticks in. Freeze for three more hours, then remove from molds. For easiest removal, dip molds into warm water, then squeeze to pop out. Return to freezer for another hour, to harden.
Makes 10 standard size popsicles.
Notes:
Use a dark chocolate sauce such as for making mochas, look in the coffee aisle for it.
