My secret to fab-u-lous lemonade that requires no simple syrup and is ready in minutes?
Maple syrup is where you want to be! No melting sugar, no waiting for cool down time. Just add, seal and shake, then pour over ice and enjoy.
You don’t have any 2 quart (half-gallon) canning jars loitering in your kitchen? You should 😉 They work really well in the refrigerator for teas and lemonade, although I don’t let Walker pour from them (when he is older he can!)
Maple Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 2 large lemons (½ cup juice)
- 6 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 8 cups cold water
Directions:
Scrub lemons under warm water, dry off and juice, straining out seeds and pulp. Add lemon juice, maple syrup and water together, seal and shake.
Best served over ice!
Makes 2 quarts + lemonade.
So the lid thing? Yep, I came into possession of a Cuppow lid at Vida Vegan Con. It was in the swag bag from Vegan Cuts. They work quite well and I’d recommend them!

Great idea! I made lemonade with honey last summer, and the honey was a bit too overpowering. I’ll try maple syrup next time.
