I love homemade lemonade, even if it is a pain to make – OK, it isn’t hard but squeezing them lemons is tiring 😉
Sour Lemonade
Ingredients:
7 good-sized lemons
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups boiling water
5 cups cold water
Directions:
Wash the lemons and dry off. Using a citrus reamer squeeze the lemons and then strain out the seeds. You will need 1 1/2 cups lemon juice for non-sour and 1 3/4 cups (or more) for a sour lemonade.
Add the sugar to your 2 quart pitcher and pour in the 2 cups of boiling water. Stir till dissolved. Add in the 5 cups cold water and the lemon juice, stirring well. Stash in the refrigerator till well chilled and serve over ice.
Makes 2 quarts (or so).
