This took me about 15 minutes from start to finish plus time to heat the oven. Easy and tasty, though I cheated and used a tube of thin crust pizza crust.
Focacia Bread
Ingredients:
1 11-ounce can thin crust pizza dough
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp Italian herb seasoning
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Heat your oven to 425° (or as noted on pizza dough package). Lightly oil a baking sheet with extra olive oil, open the can and stretch out the dough gently to fill the tray.
Drizzle the oil on the dough and spread with your fingers across it, then sprinkle the seasonings on top. Make “dimples” with two of your fingers.
Sprinkle on the cheese.
Pop into the oven an at about 8 minutes check for bubbles and pop them with a sharp knife. I let mine bake for 12 minutes, follow the directions on your package or check every two minutes until the bread is golden brown.
Makes one large section, plenty for 4.
-Notes:
I kept the oil on the light side, consider more for a richer bread. Soak the herbs in the oil for 30 minutes before using for an even better flavor. It is not overly cheesy so feel free to double it or add a pinch of sea salt on top.
